Japanese A5 Wagyu Ribeye 1 × 4.0 lb Whole Cut

Original price

Sale price

Authentic Japanese A5 Wagyu ribeye sourced directly from Japan and graded at the highest level under the Japanese Meat Grading Association. A5 denotes top yield paired with elite meat quality, and this ribeye typically falls in the BMS 10-12 range, where marbling is fine, evenly distributed, and melts cleanly at body temperature. This grading system exists only in Japan.

American and Australian “wagyu” are not comparable products. They come from crossbred cattle with inferior genetics, bred for yield and scalability rather than purity. Japanese A5 Wagyu comes from closed bloodlines refined over generations specifically for fat quality, texture, and flavor. The difference is genetic and structural, not cosmetic.

This product is sold as one whole, uncut ribeye, weighing approximately 4.0 lb (about 1,800g). It is not pre-sliced. The customer is responsible for cutting the ribeye into individual steaks. Weights are approximate, and images are representative only. Each piece is naturally different, which is inherent to real Japanese Wagyu.

Shipped frozen, which is the correct and standard method for handling Japanese A5 Wagyu intended for export. For best results when portioning, it is recommended to use a very sharp knife, an electric cutting knife, or to cut the meat while it is partially thawed. Attempting to cut fully frozen A5 Wagyu is not advised.

Cooking should remain minimal once portioned. Season lightly with salt only and cook quickly over high heat in cast iron or steel. No marinades, no sauces, no excess handling.

Total cart minimum order quantity: 2 lbs.

WagyuClub offers some of the best prices available for authentic Japanese export A5 Wagyu, with the same origin and grading found elsewhere, without inflated pricing.
